Social Media Account Manager
During my time at TTU Enrollment Marketing, I was in charge of managing multiple social media accounts for Texas Tech admissions, with a few variations in posting based on the platforms. I have had the most experience in social media, and I enjoy how it encompasses both creativity and analysis. The main lesson I've learned is that it's about constant experimentation to see what fits best with your audience, while still staying true to the messages you want to put out about your brand.
After aligning the initial strategy with the Texas Tech brand, I was able to have creative freedom with both content planning and implementation (i.e., research, campaign plans, photoshoots, interviews, etc.). Preview 2021
Texas Tech Preview is a campus-wide event put on every year by the entire Admissions department to give prospective students a glimpse of what life as a Red Raider will look like for them. My goals for the event were to engage these young students via social media through active stories, photo features, polls, and a three-tiered giveaway with prizes from local businesses that I personally reached out to for a partnership. As a result of the giveaway, we received 85 story tags and 32 grid-post tags (which we could then repurpose for future UGC), as well as reached 3,402 users that were not currently following the page in the span of 8 hours.
